In an effort to expedite the school registration process for all families, District 300 will transition to an online registration process this spring.


Starting in April of 2015, parents of students attending Gilberts Elementary School, Hampshire Elementary School, Hampshire Middle School, Hampshire High School, and Wright Elementary School will register for the 2015-2016 school year online.


In the spring of 2016, parents of students attending any District 300 school will complete an online registration process for the 2016-2017 school year.


Students, parents, and staff can take the Illinois 5 Essentials survey through March 13.

What is Dare to be Rare? Dare to be Rare is an event at Lakewood School that’s just for the girls.  This year, we are focusing on Honoring our Heroes.

Assistant Village Manager of Carpentersville, Joe Wade, made a surprise visit to Lakewood School on October 29 to present Laura Factly with the Village of Carpentersville’s 2014 Community Service Award.

The Community Service Award, sponsored by the Northern Kane County Chamber of Commerce, recognizes an individual who has gone above and beyond to give back to the community.

All Lakewood parents are invited to join our principal, Asia Gurney, for breakfast at Lakewood School on Friday, October 17 8:15 a.m.-9:30 a.m.  She will talk about learning at Lakewood School and also share information about the Title 1 budget.  We look forward to seeing you there!



Welcome Back to School!  School officially starts up for the 2014-2015 school year on Wednesday, August 13 at 7:30 a.m.  We are looking forward to a wonderful new school year.  On Monday, August 11, Lakewood students and their parents will have the opportunity to come to Lakewood to see the school, meet the teachers, and drop off school suppplies. 6th grade is from 5:00 p.m-6:00 p.m. and 5th grade is 6:00-7:00 p.m.   We are excited to welcome back the sixth graders to Lakewood and meet all of the new fifth graders.  We hope to see everyone there!

Registration will be on:

July 17th
